No excuse!

I've always had the excuse that I do not update this thing because nothing ever exciting happens to us! Well....right now I can't really live up to that excuse....

First Knight turned 1! He amazes me everyday. He can walk now and climb up on the couch all by himself. He's even started throwing his first tantrums when you take something away from him...(not my favorite). He's so smart and adorable...and a little terror!

Second, as I'm sure most of you know by now....We will be moving to Utah! Whether or not the house sells, we will be there by Sept. 1st. If the house doesn't sell in time, we'll be rocking apartment life until it does. Moving is very stressful and I hate, but I am excited to start over somewhere new with my new growing family.

Speaking of growing families...that's right...baby #2 is on the way! Hopefully she (wishful thinking) will be gracing us with her presence at the end of January. This was a bit of a suprise for us...and happened at stressful time....but we're very excited!

Mother's Day was wonderful. On Saturday Sam took me out shopping for a shopping spree to Old Navy and I bought jeans, shirts, pj's....the works. Then we dropped Knight off and went to Hometown Buffet, because it's one of my favorites! We went to the movies and saw the new Fast & Furious - I love the Rock, and Ice cream at cold stones afterwards. Sam suprised me with a bouqet of flowers once we got home. Then on Sunday we had church, and I got some yummy chocolates. Then Sam cooked my favorite lemon chicken for dinner and we ate by candlelight! I have the best husband!

Other than that life is going pretty good here. For those who don't know yet, Sam recieved an offer to transfer to Utah for work, so we might be moving within the year. We're just waiting on a confirmation from higher ups. We're also excited that Knights first birthday is around the corner. I can't believe that my baby is going to be one! Also this my last semester in school...so be prepared for my graduation party :)

Time flying....

We of course had a wonderful Valentines Day. We had to celebrate a week late due to work and school, but we ate at Black Angus (our favorite) and saw "I Am Number Four" (it was ok, not worth the $20 spent to watch it. I hate going to the movies now when I can rent redbox for $1!)

I (Amber) am super exhausted from school, interning, and the kid...but I still manage to get it all done. Saturday I have my last 8 hour class and then I can actually start my real internship on the 21st! I'm almost half-way done with my last semester in school! Yay! Well...last semester until I start my M.A.

Sam is working hard. Still working for that promotion at work....the company says it'll be another few months because they are not ready to move people around....but it'll come. Until then we're kind of living paycheck to paycheck...but we're happy. Sam also got a new work phone...the I phone 4.....which is annoying cause all he wants to do is play with it!!!!!

Knight is getting so big! He's crawling like a speed demon...and now can pull him self up into standing (which isn't the greatest cause now he can reach new things!) We can't beleive he's already 9 months!

December Catch up...

The beginning of December we headed out to New Hampshire for our nieces baptism. It was cold, but not too bad. We loved seeing the family, and Knight loved playing with his big cousins. We also got to take a small trip to Boston and do a little sight seeing there. We had a blast!

Christmas was spent at home with Amber's family. It was Knights first Christmas and it was so much fun to see all the presents he got. He was definately spoiled, and loved every minute of it. It's amazing how big he is and how fast time seems to be going by.

Sam is still loving Western Water Works, and still working hard for that promotion. Amber is enjoying her winter break from school, which starts up again at the end of January.

Fall Vacations....

First we went to Utah for Ashley's wedding. We stayed with Mike and Chelsi and had so much fun! Knight enjoyed it....except his poor little face froze in the rain! It was a super long drive and we were exhausted by the time we got home, but it was worth it! The following weekend, which was Halloween, we took Knight to visit his Grandpa in Arizona. He loved all the attention he was getting. We can't believe how big he is, five months already! He's learning so quickly. Time to start baby proofing.

It's been awhile...

So it's been a while since we've updated this thing...but time has been flying by since Knight got here! We can't believe he's already three months! He's gotten so big. He loves talking and laughing at his daddy. He can sit up with some help, and loves grabbing everything...expecially mommy's hair! Sam has been promoted at work to assistant manager! We're really excited about that, and Amber has started school again. We celebrated Amber's birthday a couple weeks ago and are excited to go to the LA fair soon!

The Funeral...

It's been a rough week, but it was so great to be with our family. I think Sheri would have been so happy to see how much fun we all had together. The funeral was beautiful and our mother/grandmother will truly be missed.

Knight is finally here!!!!

Thursday morning Amber woke up with painful contractions, but we had been there before so we thought it could be a false alarm. She walked around the house and we noticed the contractions were 4 minutes apart and not letting up. Sam convinced her that it was time to go to the hospital, although she put up quite a fuss about it. We arrived at the hospital at about 4:00 am and they monitored her for a while. She was in a lot of pain for a good three hours before the epidural came and she became a lot nicer :) After the epidural she was completely pain free and eventually she just fell asleep. The doctor woke us up saying that she could see the head even though we hadn't done anything yet. Amber pushed for about 15 minutes and Knight came flying out. It was pretty much the easiest thing ever...we were expecting so much worse. Amber did have a little complication with the amount she was bleeding, but everything worked out and we're at home now with our new little man. He's very cute, unless you are trying to sleep....lol.

First Mother's Day!!!

Samuel gave me the best first mother's day ever! He bought me a comfy robe for the hospital and late nights with baby. He took me on a wonderful picnic...even Bandit got to come! We had a lot of fun. I'm super huge and uncomfortable....now it's just a waiting game. The doctor said it could happen any day now....I guess no one told the baby how impatient I am!!!!

We have everything we could possibly need...except for the baby! Our pets are doing fantastic ....we have gotten a new guinea pig to keep Amber's pig company (we'll post pictures of her when she's a little more adjusted.) The weather has been gorgeous here and we're just waiting to have the baby.

We had our first baby shower with Amber's family on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, with lots of food, games, cake, presents, and family! It was nice to see family who came out from Arizona to be there, and we got a lot of cool gifts that we really wanted. It was great. Can't wait for the next one......

Blues Brother Concert!

We had so much fun at the Blues Brothers Concert. It was great to see them perform classic hits not just from the movies but from the SNL skits as well. It was the perfect Valentines Day gift to ourselves. The baby however was not so fond of all the loud noise and kicked the whole time!

We celebrated Valentine's on Saturday. First, Sam woke up at 3:00 in the morning to put a balloon bouqet in to suprise me.Unfortunately that early in the morning, mixed with the fact that it was super dark and I didn't have my contacts in, led to me being terrified of the balloons which looked like demons crawling on the ceiling making a hissing noise coming toward me. I don't think Sam has ever seen me that scared! He'll never learn that I hate suprises! Then Sam got up super early to set up the garage sale we had been putting off. It went really well, we made almost $150, just enough to buy me a much needed new vacuum! Yay! It's bagless, and lightweight, and yellow! We went to mall to buy eachother Chocolate and other goodies for V-day, then had a beautiful dinner at Black Angus. It was so nice....later, we came home and we filled our living room with balloons, built a fire, lit candles, and played romantic music we love. Sam had three beautiful poems he had picked out to read....it was perfect.

We took our annual trip to Lake Arrowhead to celebrate our engagement two years. We had fun Eating yummy pizza, playing in the snow, and feeding the ducks. It was really pretty there...but a little cold.

So the mural in the babies is finally finished and now we're just waiting to add the final touches. We're super excited for the baby to come and the waiting seems like it's taking forever. We're staying busy in the mean time taking care of our animals, working on the house, and trying to figure out baby shower plans. Still no name for the kid yet!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Ok...so it's a little late...but better late than never. Things have been so busy with us! We spent Christmas with Amberlee's Dad and Grandmother in Arizona. It's the first time we got to see her Dad's new house and it was beautiful....Bandit loved it too. It was her first time dealing with snow, she did well. New years was spent painting the baby's room and in case you didn't hear...It's a boy! We painted the walls a creamy orange color and the trim is a dark burnt orange. It looks great! Tomorrow we're having some friends of ours paint a Noah's Ark mural on the larger wall....we'll post pictures later. We saw the baby again today he's getting so big and so is Amberlee! Other than that we're keeping busy and resting when possible...we're having a lot of fun preparing for baby. (No names yet)

It's been a long a while since we've updated this thing, and so many wonderful things have happened since!

The first and probably most exciting thing is that we are pregnant...and if your hearing this for the first time you are probably the last person on this earth to know....lol, sorry. We found out in September and of course we celebrated by going to L.A. County Fair! This is a much welcome surprise and we are so happy. Shortly after the discovery of pregnancy morning sickness kicked in and things got a little harder. Amberlee ended up in the E.R. and was diagnosed with hypermesis gravidarum, which is defined as extreme morning sickness that leads to other problems. So that wasn't fun, but it seems we've gotten through the worst of it now, and while she's not 100% perfect, Amberlee is feeling much better. We're excited to know the sex of the baby soon!

The next exciting thing is that we have finally moved into our house. It's been a lot of work...mostly for Sam because Amberlee was too sick to help out a whole lot. We're slowly getting everything unpacked and hopefully soon we can have a housewarming get together. It feels good to finally be able to use all the cool things we got from our wedding.

Sam's birthday was a lot of fun, we went to disneyland and spent all of their happy birthday gift card money. We also went to CPK for dinner with his family. It was nice.

Thanksgiving was amazing, it was fun to see alot of family and eat a whole lot of good food....maybe too much food. We're excited to see all the family again for Christmas.

Our 1st Year Together!!!!

So we just celebrated our 1st anniversary, and we can't believe that time has gone by so fast! We really feel like we just got married last month. To celebrate we went down to Redondo Beach for the weekend. We spent most of the first day on the beach, and we were really excited about the dolphins that swam up right next to the shore.

Then we hung out at our hotel, watching our wedding video, and thinking about that wonderful day. Dinner was a surprise. We had picked out this authentic chinese restraunt online. When we got there we started to get a little nervous because it looked like a dump. But inside it was really pretty and clean. The fun part was the service. They were hilarious. This little old lady greeted us and asked us how many, we said "two" and she looked at us and yelled, "Good!" We're not sure what happens if you say an odd number. Then our waitor took our order, but instead of bringing only the food we ordered he kept bringing extra appetizers and desserts insisting we try them. He would keep coming back to get our approval. When we finally got the food we ordered, we were both full, which was good because Sammy didn't realize he had ordered this weird crunchy chicken thing that did not look good at all. But it was great experience. Later that night we went for a walk on the beach, which was beautiful. We ended the night with watching the movie The Watchmen, which niether one of us really liked. The next morning we drove around forever just trying to find a IHOP, and we found the smallest one in the world! We spent the rest of the day on the boardwalk. We had so much fun. We rented a pedal boat and took around the marina. Our legs got really tired, but it was worth it. Seals swam next to boat and we got to see them sunbathing with lots of pelicans. It was great. We really had a lot of fun.

Besides our anniversary celebration, we don't have a lot of new things to add. Sam is starting to play tennis again, his boss at work talked him into playing. Amber is going to be a cabin mom at girls camp in a couple of weeks. We're excited but a little apprehensive since this will be the first time we've been apart for that long. lol....I'm sure some of you are rolling your eyes, but Hey, we like to be with eachother! So a week seems like a long time to us! So that's it. Thanks for checking in!

A Mother's Day Birthday Trip!

Hey guys, we know it's been a while! Everything is great. Sam finally sold the jeep and we got him a white dodge stratus. He loves it. Sam also still loves his job as a driver at Western water works and Ambs still hates hers at Hallmark! Ha, we're trying to find her a new one. We're also preparing to move into our house, we'll be in by the end of january! We're excited. We're looking to a rent out a room so if you know anyone who needs it let us know! We have also gotten Disneyland passes, we grew tired of dinner and movies for date night. We've had so much fun that last couple weeks, hanging out and playing at the happiest place on earth. Our most recent fun though was driving up to Sacramento for Shannon's suprise pirate party.

We drove up on Saturday and drove back on Sunday! On the way back we stopped in San Francisco, Ambs had never been there before, and in San Jose to see the winchester house.

We got home about midnight and both had to get up super early for work! We were so tired, but we had fun. Nothing else is happening, but thanks for checking in!

6 months...yay!

Ok, so yesterday we celebrated our 6 monthiversary (again, we just like to celebrate), and we can't believe it has been a whole 6 months already. Crazy. We know we're still newlyweds because people keep asking us, "Hows married life?" We figure once that stops we'll be an old married couple. Lets see, we went to vegas right after new years and had a lot of fun. We saw David Spade, went to the wax museum, and ate at Cici's, which is a place apparently Sam ate at in Texas and loves it. Amberlee got a job that works perfectly with school, she's a field merchandiser for Hallmark. Fun. She likes to tell everyone that she'll be making greeting cards, but those would be some weird cards. Other than that no new things. Sam is trying to sell the jeep so we can get a more economical car and Amberlee still is in school. The end!

Hey guys, so we didn't send out christmas cards either but we figured only the couples with children are required to! Ha. Shannon reminded us today that we are not very good at updating this thing, so here it goes:

School is finally over for us. Yay. We both start again in January though. It's Amberlee's last semester at the community college, finally, and Sam will start his second semester at Cal State Fullerton. Sam is still very much enjoying his job, unfortunately work has been slow and they have kept him home a few days the past couple weeks. But we're getting by.

It's Christmas eve, and we just had our own little gift exchange and celebration tonight before being with all the family tomorrow. I guess some people think that's weird, but it's our first Christmas and we wanted to celebrate with just us at some point, so we did. Sam gave Amber and ellipticle machine, YAY!!!! And Amberlee gave Sam a trip to vegas after new years. We're both very excited.

I guess the last exciting news is that Amber's father is moving to Arizona in a year and has decided to give us the house! We're so excited to finally be living in our own house out on our own. It's still a whole year away, but Amber is already brainstorming interrior decorating ideas. Haha. So that's it. We love you all, Merry Christmas.

Sammy's Birthday!

Ok ok, so we're not that great about keeping this thing updated....but we're boring! Nothing really new happens! Lets see....We have officially been together one year, but not married so it doesn't really count but we don't need much of a reason to celebrate anything, so we did!!! We went out dinner at BJs which was our first date last November. It was nice, and we came home and sat in front of fire.

Speaking of fires, California was on fire and at night we could see the flames behind the hill, it was kind of scary...and sad.

We're celebrating Sam's big 24th birthday this weekend. Tonight we went out to dinner with my family then when we came home and I had a nice surprise for him. I spent all day blowing up balloons and putting nice little messages inside of them and one told him to open his gift, which was a remote control helicopter that he had been begging for. He was so excited he looked like a little kid on Christmas.

Tomorrow we'll probably go see twilight. Bandit didn't have to have the surgery after all, the thing on her tail slowly disappeared with antibiotics! YAY! School is still tiring for both us, but Sammy still enjoys his job which is good. I guess that's it. We Love Everyone!

Hard Times For Amberlee and Bandit.....

Hey everyone here is a little update!

Everyone is doing well here. Sam still enjoys his job and hopefully we'll be getting medical insurance on November 1st! Yay, we can rest easy that if we fall into a man hole while walking our dog we're covered! Sam also thinks he has arthritis in his wrist, but he won't put ice or heat on it like he's been told, lol. Speaking of walking dogs, Bandit is going to have a rough week. She has to have surgery on her tail. She has this growth and it could be a tumor so she's having it removed. Not only is sad for her cause she's going to be a cone head for a few weeks but it's costing us like a million dollars! But she's worth it.

Amberlee is also having a rough week because she had three midterms and recieved a letter from her college denying her petition to graduate because she overlooked one class! She's already been accepted to transfer next semester so she's panicking trying to get everything pushed back. Not good. BUT: she got a really cute haircut. Yay.

That's pretty much it. We still love eachother: Three months and counting!

Our First Blog!

Well, due to popular demand, we have started our blog! We're not sure who would want to read it because our life isn't too exciting. We're enjoying the married life and wonder when people will stop asking, "How's married life?" Sam is enjoying his new job, he likes driving the trucks and the people he works with.
We have a new puppy that we picked up one week after getting back from the honeymoon, and two cats that came with Amber from her dad's house. They're all getting along great! Well...kind of.

We're still staying at the Fox's with no hope of getting our own place anytime soon. It's great here and we have time to save up our money. Amber is going to school full time, and is doing odd jobs on the internet while looking for a "real" job. We spend our time watching movies, having fun dates, and sleeping! We told you...Boring! We love eachother very much...still....Two months and counting!
